Pie In The Sky Pizza Cayucos - Exceptional Sourdough Pies with Beachfront Charm

I just got back from NYC, and this pizza surpassed anything I had there. The dough and crust is incredible. You can tell they take great care to serve a high quality product. We ordered a half cheese half pep. Definitely order a whole pie. Go before you are hungry as they have about an hour wait time. We didn’t mind, and sat at the beach and enjoyed the view. Would be cool to add in a text service for customers when the order is ready. The employee let us know about the wait time before she took our order. Clear communication is key! Thanks, we will definitely be back!

The sourdough crust is amazing and pies are cooked to perfection. The "On the beach, walk-up" experience adds to the laid back, homey feel. Customer service is prompt and courteous. Our family has vacationed in Cayucos for North of 50 years and this little hole in the wall is a unique, second to none addition to the Cayucos beachfront experience! Drop by, grab a pie and sit on the beach to enjoy the view; you won't be disappointed.

From the moment I walked into Pie in the Sky, I could tell it was a special place. The atmosphere feels cozy , like the kind of spot you could visit for a casual lunch or takeout. The food was incredible. The crust on their pies is buttery and flaky, the fillings rich and full of flavor, and every bite tasted like it was made with care. What stood out just as much as the food was the service. Grace was the highlight of my visit—she was so warm, attentive, and welcoming. She had the perfect balance of professionalism and friendliness, making the whole experience feel personal and special. It’s clear she loves what she does, and it shows in the way she treats her guests. It’s rare to find a restaurant where the staff and the food are equally impressive, but Pie in the Sky nails it. I can’t recommend this place enough—it’s the kind of hidden gem that makes you want to bring all your friends just so they can experience it too. I’ll definitely be back!

The pizza was very delicious. The crust was out of this world. Ample cheese, but toppings were very skimpy. The person working at the window didn’t seem to know much about ingredients such as how the dough was made and what was in the white sauce. However, overall very good pizza I would definitely have it again.
